Booking a show
How might my event be structured?
Well, think of the Upper Octave show as a two-act theatre - right on your doorstep. Each one-hour act is 'top & tailed' with an informational announcement, i.e. a Welcome, Intermission, Recommencement and Farewell. From experience and feedback, the Intermission is best kept to approximately 15-20 minutes, which should allow time for refreshments. Please bear in mind that our shows do not suit events where refreshments are served during a performance.
How & when should I book the Upper Octave?
Click here to contact us. We can then work together to ensure your particular requirement is understood and accommodated, where possible. As previously stated, demand continues to grow and early booking is strongly recommended. Bookings are now being taken for next year. For best results, call us during the early stage of your event planning process.
What does a suitable venue need to provide?
Well, you will obviously want your chosen venue to provide a comfortable environment for your audience and at the same time enable the Upper Octave to help you deliver a fantastic musical experience to your guests. We will certainly require a Staging Area with side-access to a changing area and, where possible, washroom facilities. Our Lighting & Sound Team specify a minimum ceiling height in the auditorium of 15 feet (approximately 5 metres), several power points and access to allow the delivery and installation of their equipment.
To convert your chosen venue into the required theatre-setting, our engineers and assistants will require access to the venue 8 hours before and 2 hours after the event in order to restore the venue to its original layout. For Health & Safety reasons, we strongly advise that access to the auditorium be restricted to necessary venue and show personnel during this setting-up and closing-down period.
